The Website & Forum For The Land Rover Discovery 2  Although there are many fine 4 wheel drive websites on the net, and some specialise in manufacturers such as Land Rover, there are few that are focused on one model or another.Hence a handful of members from other forums decided that it was time for a website dedicated to the D2.   The D2 Boys Club is set up with exactly that in mind. The Discovery Series 2.  The Discovery Series 2, manufactured by Land Rover between 1998 and 2004. A choice of two power units was offered to the customer as standard. These were the 2.5 litre 5 cylinder diesel newly developed by Land Rover, the 4.0 and 4.6 Litre V8 Petrol that evolved from earlier Rover V8s.  The D2 represented a number of innovations for Land Rover. It was the first vehicle to depart from aluminium body panels for 50 years! It was also designed to rely much more on electronics than previous models. In many cases running these vehicles requires a different approach to previous Land Rovers.  Once inside you will see that there are sections dealing with servicing to modifications.
